NEC DSX Phone System

The NEC DSX Phone System is available in three different configurations.  All of theNDC DSX Phone Systems run off of the same sogtware and perform most of the same functions.

One configuration is the NEC DSX40 that starts out with an initial configuration of 4 lines in X 8 digital station ports and 2 analog station ports that can be expanded to a maximum configuration of 8 lines in X 24 telephones X 2 analog ports for either a fax machine.  The DSX40 does not support a T1/PRI line connected directly to the phone system,

The second configuration is the NEC DSX80 that starts out at 8 lines in X 16 digital station ports with a maximum configuration of 16 lines in X 32 phones and can also be expanded to 24 lines in X 16 digital phones.  The DSX80 does not come with any analog ports, if analog ports are needed an analog station card will have to be added.  The NEC DSX80 can support a T1/PRI connected directly to the phone system with a T1/PRI card installed in the system.

The third configuration is the NEC DSX160 that starts out at 8 lines in X 16 digital station ports with a maximum configuration of up to 96 phones and can also be expanded to lets say 32 lines in X 64 digital phones or 24 lines in X 80 phones.  The DSX160 does not come with any analog ports, if analog ports are needed an analog station card will have to be added.  The NEC DSX160 can support a T1/PRI connected directly to the phone system with a T1/PRI card installed in the system.
