The DS2000 is the large4r of the 2 systems available in 2 different cabinets. The smaller of the 2 is the 4 slot carrier and the larger cabinet is the 8 slot cabinet.

The NEC DS2000 can expand to a maximum of 96 phones

NEC DS1000

The DS1000 is for smaller business with the needs of less then 16 phones X 6 lines in.

THIS PHONE IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEC DS1000 & DS2000 PHONE SYSTEM AND WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY OTHER PHONE SYSTEM.
